Stop 4 · puppies and seniors

Puppies need extra help. Older pets need a bit more patience.

Potty breaks and good habits for puppies; a slower pace and a bit more patience for older pets.

What happens to a puppy when nobody comes at midday?

Puppies need a lot of attention. A young dog left alone through a work day has nobody to take it out, and the habits that set in during those hours are not the ones you want. That's why we stop by for frequent bathroom breaks and basic socialization, to help your new pup get into a great routine and stay on track with house training.

Older pets have the opposite problem. A walk built for a young dog's speed is too fast for a senior, and a rushed visit misses what an older dog actually needs: a slower pace and a bit more patience. Rick and Cate set the visit to the pet, not to the clock.

How a puppy or senior visit runs

For a puppy, the visit is bathroom breaks, basic socialization and positive habits, repeated often enough that house training sticks. Rick handles the dogs, and he keeps it calm and patient.

For an older pet, the walk slows down and the dog takes its time. The dog sets the pace, whether that's a long sniff at every tree or a short, easy loop around Conimicut.

We follow your instructions for feeding and exercise to the letter, and we can help reinforce any training you're already working on during our visits. You get photos and updates while we're there, so you can see for yourself that your pet is happy and well-cared for.

Why the same routine and the same faces matter

Pets do best when their routine stays the same. For a puppy, steady repeat visits are what make house training stick. For an older pet, a familiar person coming at a familiar time is what keeps the day calm.

A 15-minute drop-in is $20, a 30-minute visit for an older dog who wants more time is $30, and each extra pet is $5 more. There's a $3 travel fee for locations 7 miles or more from Warwick.

We start with a meet and greet at your home, so your pup or your old friend knows us before the first visit. Call Rick on (401) 527-0035 and tell him the pet's age, the routine you want kept and the days you need.
